Academic Status and Financial Aid

  • How to find your class schedule

There are multiple ways in which you can access your class schedule within MySCAD, and they can all be found under the Student Workspace Page.

The easiest way to access the academic schedule for the quarter is through the “My Courses” channel. Here students can see the professor that teaches the class, the schedule, and the location where the course will take place. They can also access Blackboard here and reach the bookstore’s website to find the required materials and books for each class.

Students can also access a much more detailed schedule through “My Course Detail Schedule” and “ My Schedule by Day and Time” through the Student Toolkit channel.

  • Where to See Your Grades

Students can view their course grades per quarter through this channel, right below the Academic Profile channel in Student Workspace. They also can access their specific grades for midterms and finals.

  • Who your advisors are and how to contact them

The Academic Profile Channel, under Student Workspace, shares the student’s curriculum per quarter (Major, level, class standing, degree, etc.). It also lists the student’s Faculty Advisor, Student Success Advisor, Career Advisor, and heads of the department. Next to each name is a small icon the student can use to contact their advisor via email.

Scrolling down on the Student Workspace page, there is the Undergraduate Advising channel where students can schedule an appointment and access their Student Success Advisor.

  • Financial Aid Info

Under the My Info page, students can find the My Financial Aid Channel, where they can view their financial aid status, access financial aid resources, and fill out necessary documents, such as FAFSA, for the upcoming academic year. Below this channel, students can also submit the required documents for their financial aid.

Registration Help

  • How to find your degree planner

The Degree Planner is an essential tool when it comes to registration. Here the students can view all the major-specific graduation requirements. There are multiple ways to access it under the Student Workspace page of MySCAD.

One way of finding the Degree Planner is under Undergraduate Advising. Here students can also find the Degree Sequencing Guides, which shows the list of degree requirements for all majors and minors offered at SCAD.

The Degree Planner can also be found under the Student Toolkit Channel.

  • Registration time

Registration Time is the period when students can add or remove classes to their schedule. It varies each Quarter depending on the student and their credit hours. Students can access the Registration Times under Registration Tools within Student Workspace. Here they can see the Quarter to which the Registration Time applies, when it opens, when it closes, and the status, whether it’s open or pending.

  • Look Up Classes for Registration

Under the Registration Tools Channel of Student Workspace, the student can look for the classes to add for the upcoming quarter.
